Description
‘Time Stands Still: White-faced Heron, Egretta novaehollandiae’ by artist/author Tina Wilson
Limited Edition Print: Watercolour painting on Arches Aquarelle
Walking along the river at the base of Clarrie Hall Dam (the Tweed Shire’s main water supply), I stop to witness another living creature in repose, an elegant White-faced Heron that has made the river its home. My mind shifts instinctively into a place of deep contemplation, a reflection on life, on the beauty that is inherent in nature; the beauty in simply “being”. Time stands still and my mind quiets. The worries and excitement of the day pass and I am lost in “the moment”.
